Mini Aceman unveiled - the compact electric crossover ideal for the city

01 May 2024

The new Mini Aceman is the brand's first pure electric crossover. This small but quite powerful electric car promises to combine the typical Mini agile driving experience, an engaging digital environment and sufficient space in a compact package.

The Aceman is the typical Mini with its distinctive headlights, characteristic front grille and bold contours. Its compact length of 4 metres makes it ideal for manoeuvring around town. At the same time, its short overhangs, standard roof rails and optional 19-inch wheels add a sporty touch.

The Mini Aceman offers comfortable seating for five adults and a variable 300-litre boot that can be expanded to 1,005 litres. The interior boasts a minimalist design, a panoramic sunroof and optional ambient lighting.

The centrepiece is the beautiful large circular OLED touchscreen that controls all the car's functions. The innovative Mini 9 operating system provides a smartphone-like experience. The driving experience can be customised with various Mini Experience modes that change the display and ambient lighting of the car and, more importantly, its driving character.

In terms of performance, the 160 kW / 330 Nm Aceman SE promises a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 7.1 seconds (E version 135 kW / 290 Nm, 7.9 seconds). With a 54 kWh battery, the SE's estimated range of up to 406 km on the WLTP cycle is ideal for daily commuting and occasional trips (E version 42.5 kWh, 310 km).

Safety is a priority for MINI, so the Aceman includes advanced features such as Steering Assist Plus for steering and lane keeping. Smart Trailer Park Assist offers support when parking with a trailer. There's even an optional remote parking feature that allows you to park the car using just your smartphone.

Charging the Aceman should be easy thanks to its 11kW AC charging and fast DC charging up to 95kW (the E version is only 75kW). At the fast charging station, the car's battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the DC charging values are not quite good compared to the competitors.

The Mini Aceman will be available later this year and the price starts at around 37,000 Euro for the E version and 40,000 Euro for the SE
